VCUSD uses Aeries' student information system to handle the management of staff and student data. Students and parents also have the ability to go in to the Aeries Portal to view grades, attendance, and other information held within the system.

ParentSquare is the tool used by VCUSD staff to communicate with parents (and students at the high school level) about important events and occurrences within our district.  With ParentSquare, we can send a Post to many people or a Message to an individual.  Visit the ParentSquare Help Pages for support as a parent or staff member.

VCUSD Link (ClassLink subscription) is a one-click single sign-on solution that gives students access to everything they need to learn, anywhere, with just one password. Accessible from any device, ClassLink is the perfect tool for ensuring that students have access to the learning tools needed to be successful.

GoGuardian allows teachers to greatly increase the amount of instructional time in the classroom by giving them insight into student activity and managing the use of Chromebooks in the classroom. Among other things, teachers, parents, and administrators have the ability to:

• lock a Chromebook for up to five minutes during class time
• view in live time a student's screen and open tabs
• push a webpage out to all Chromebooks simultaneously
• allow/block particular sites
• view a student's browsing history

Kami allows teachers and students to mark PDFs and leave interactive feedback. Kami integrates with Google Classroom and Meet.

VCUSD utilizes the various tools within Google's G Suite at the classroom level to support learning, collaboration, creativity, and skills that will promote college and career readiness.

The VCUSD Technology Department strives to strike a balance between offering the tools needed to make the classroom and work environment engaging, productive, and safe.  To this end, all requested Chrome apps and extensions must meet district, state, and federal standards for security and privacy.
