State of the District

To the Vallejo City Unified School District Community, 

I am honored to share this year’s Annual Report during a historic moment for VCUSD. In August 2024, we completed repayment of the $60 million emergency state loan received in 2004. As of June 30, 2025, VCUSD officially regained full local control after over two decades of state and county oversight. 

This achievement reflects the resilience and commitment of our entire community—educators, families, students, and partners—who worked tirelessly to restore financial stability and credibility. It is proof of what we can accomplish together...
