TK and Kindergarten

The transitional kindergarten (TK) program bridges preschool and traditional kindergarten, offering an age-appropriate and developmentally-suited curriculum for our youngest students. TK is the first year of a two-year kindergarten journey designed to provide students with extra time to develop essential academic, social, and emotional skills for future success. TK is an optional, free program available to age-eligible children.

How to Help Your Child Succeed

Consistent attendance is very important to your child's attitude toward school. Do your best to have your child at school, on time, every day.

Have your child eat something for breakfast before coming to school. A healthy breakfast helps improve concentration, mood, and academic performance.

Send healthy snacks with your student each day. Healthy snacks help children stay focused, energized, and ready to learn throughout the school day.

Reading to your child daily builds their vocabulary, sparks imagination, and lays the foundation for a love of reading.

Be sure your child is getting between 10 and 13 hours of sleep a night. Well-rested kids are more focused, better behaved, and ready to learn and play each day.
