Maintenance and Grounds

We are dedicated to providing an inviting, healthy, safe and well-maintained learning environment. The quality of our work affects students, staff, parents, and the community. We strive to foster an environment that supports teaching, learning, productivity, and the education process.

Overview

The Maintenance and Grounds Department manages maintenance, repair, and safe operation of buildings and grounds operations. Our staff members manage and maintain all of the schools and buildings owned by VCUSD. To assure reliability, efficiency and adequacy in all building maintenance and operations, we track repair work from initiation to completion.

Approved Pesticide Ingredient List

The following is a list of approved low-toxicity pesticides that the Vallejo City Unified School District expects to apply during the 2024-2025 school year. A listed pesticide does not signify that the pesticide would be used, but give the District greater latitude in selecting approved pesticides for a specific situation. If you have questions regarding this list, or require additional information, you may contact the Department of Pesticide Regulations.
