Board of Education - Board Meetings

The Vallejo City Unified School District Board of Education generally meets twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays. Meetings generally start at 5 p.m. in the Board Room of the District’s Administrative Offices at 665 Walnut Avenue, Vallejo, CA 94592.  

Regularly scheduled Board meetings usually consist of two parts—the public meeting and the closed session, which is held at the beginning of the public meeting to discuss matters such as personnel and student discipline matters and negotiations, according to the Brown Act.

In addition, the Board or the Superintendent may schedule special meetings and study sessions. Study sessions are usually held to explore and discuss a single issue in depth. No action may be taken at study sessions.
