Trustee Dean Hodges

Trustee Dean Hodges was elected in November 2024 to serve his first four-year term representing Area Two on the Vallejo City Unified School District Board of Education.

Hodges is a proud product of VCUSD, having attended Loma Vista Elementary, Elsa Widenmann Elementary, Solano Junior High, and Hogan Senior High School. After a distinguished career in federal law enforcement, he recently retired to focus on public service and supporting veterans.

In addition to his board member responsibilities, Hodges, a US Army veteran, is a crisis responder for the Department of Veterans Affairs' Veterans Crisis Line.

He holds an associate degree in criminal justice from Contra Costa College and a bachelor's degree in psychology from California State University, East Bay. He is pursuing a master's at Saint Mary's College of California.

In his spare time, Hodges enjoys being an active high school basketball referee, reading science fiction, and collecting comic books and action figures.
