VALLEJO, Calif. — Vallejo City Unified School District (VCUSD) is proud to offer free summer meals to children and teens throughout the community, helping ensure that young people have access to nutritious food while school is out of session.

From June 15 through Aug. 7, 2026, free meals will be available to all children and teens 18 years of age and younger at three convenient community locations. Meals will not be served on June 18 or July 3 in observance of the holidays.

Summer meal sites include:

  • Union Baptist Church (128 Encerti Ave, Vallejo, CA 94589)
  • John F. Kennedy Library (505 Santa Clara St, Vallejo, CA 94590)
  • Longshore Cove Apartments (201 Maine St, Vallejo, CA 94590)

Meal service times are as follows:

  • Union Baptist Church: Lunch from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
  • John F. Kennedy Library: Lunch from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
  • Longshore Cove Apartments: Breakfast from 8-8:30 a.m. and lunch from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

The Summer Meals Program is open to all children and teens aged 18 and younger, regardless of where they attend school. No registration, identification, or application is required.

To comply with federal program guidelines, all meals must be consumed on-site. Meals may not be taken off the premises, and any leftover food must remain within the designated eating area. Meals cannot be served to adults.

"Access to healthy meals should not stop when school is out," said Superintendent Rubén Aurelio. "We are grateful to partner with community organizations to ensure children throughout Vallejo continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer months."

VCUSD encourages families to take advantage of this free resource and help spread the word to friends, neighbors, and community members.

Menus can be found on the student nutrition website.
