Northstar Digital Literacy

  • The Northstar Digital Literacy certificate program is a self-guided set of assessments that show your ability to perform basic computer tasks. Knowing how to use a computer is increasingly important in our world. Earning a certificate is FREE and available to anyone who needs to improve or demonstrate their computer skills.

Northstar Digital Literacy is perfect for those interested in enhancing their computer skills, who need a refresher on computer skills, or need a resume-ready certificate. You can earn a FREE certificate in the following areas: essential computer skills (basic computer skills, internet basics, using email and Windows) and essential software skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel). To earn a certificate, each assessment must be taken in a proctored setting on campus for any of the modules by passing with a score of 85 percent or higher.

Due to popular demand, there is a two-term limit to be enrolled in this class. You will be placed on a waitlist for the next available Northstar class offering if the class is full or you've been enrolled after two consecutive terms.

Registration is FREE. Registration is required every 10-week term to be enrolled in classes. Enroll today! This class is not for beginners.
