Before and After School Programs
VCUSD offers several before-school and after-school opportunities. These resources are available through our Child Development and Expanded Learning Programs. Each program offers different forms of support to accommodate the many different needs of our families. Parents or guardians may learn more about what each program offers and determine which may be the best fit for them.

Expanded Learning's After School program provides a diverse, safe, and supportive environment for students. Participants receive a meal, snack, academic support, and access to engaging activities and skill-building opportunities.

Which option is best for me?
All VCUSD before and after school programs fall under the Child Development or Expanded Learning departments. While both provide quality support and education, they serve different purposes and age groups.
Child Development
VCUSD’s child development programs include the Full-Day State Preschool Program (CSPP), Infant/Toddler and School-Age Center Care (CCTR), and the Pregnant and Teen Parent Program (formerly Cal-SAFE).
