Here are a few highlights from the May 4 board meeting and a link to the full agenda packet.

Strategic Planning Advisory Committee (SPAC) Update

The Board heard about the progress of the strategic plan from Superintendent Spalding. While the plan is not currently complete, the SPAC will take a deeper dive into each strategic priority set of recommendations and work on a communication plan to share the pillars. 

Discussion on Board Meeting Times

The Superintendent proposed that the Board keeps the 5 p.m. closed session start time and the 6 p.m. open session start time. The Board agreed, and if they needed a longer closed session, they could start earlier.

The board also approved salary increases for the California School Employees Association and school managers and confidential staff for the 2021-22 school year.
